Dharma:  All levels

Dharma Yoga is a graceful, yet challenging form of yoga based on Sri Dharma Mitra's almost fifty years of practice of classical yoga.  The practice is appropriate for students of all levels, from beginner to lifelong practitioners and accessible to so many because it meets each student where they are and according to their condition.  As students move through the different series, they are encouraged to go deeper and experience the practice in a meditative and spiritual way.

In essence, Dharma Yoga is a system of classical Hatha-Raja Yoga.  A devotional practice that emphasizes good heath, a clear mind, and a kind heart.  This method weaves together many teachings in order to bring all students to the goal of self realization(gaining absolutely knowledge of the true self).  Pranayama and Savasana will be included in this practice.

Gentle:  All levels (beginner friendly)

Gentle Yoga is a class structured around healing, nurturing and revitalizing the body.  Blankets, blocks, straps, chairs and bolsters might be used to make the practice more comfortable and safe.  This is a slower paced class focused on releasing tension from the joints and muscles while gently stretching all areas of the body.  Beginners will feel at home in this class.

Vinyasa:  All levels

Vinyasa means a gradual progression or a step-by-step approach that systematically and appropriately takes a student from one point and safely lands them at the next point. It is sometimes described as the “breathing system,” or the union of breath and movement that make up the steps.

In our Vinyasa class you will 'flow' from one pose to the next while focusing on the breath.  Vinyasa is an all levels class which incorporates arm balances and inversions.  Each class will incorporate different poses and sequences, including the traditional 'Vinyasa Flow' (Chataranga, Up dog, Down dog). If you are looking for a class where you have the option to take on some challenging modifications, this is the class for you.
